Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo, has sent names of 20 Commissioner-nominees to the State House of Assembly for consideration.
The nomination came barely 12 days after his inauguration, although he had earlier promised to forward the list of his commissioner-nominees within one week.
The list had some of former Governor Willie Obiano’s men and two reporters from the State owned Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS).
On the list sighted by Ikengaonline were Nollywood actor, Mr Don Onyenji; and former Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba North Local Government Area, Mrs Ifenyinwa Obinabo.
Onyenji was pencilled as Commissioner for Entertainment, Culture and Tourism while Obinabo was nominated as Commissioner for Women Affairs..
Some of Obiano’s former appointees were: Mr Paul Nwosu, tipped for Information; Ifeatu Onejeme for Finance; Hon Collins Nwabunwanne, Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters; and Chief Chikodi Anara, Home Land Affairs.
Prof Chika Ifejeme was nominated as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, among others.
Others on the list included: Engr. Ide Okoma – Lands; Chiamaka Helen Nnake – Planning and budget; Dr Afam Ben Obidike – Health; and Patrick Aha Mba – Youth Development.
Dr. Obinna Ngonadi was tipped for Commerce and Industry; Julius Chukwuemeka was pencilled for Power and Water Resources; and Ngozi Theresa Chuma-Ude, Education.
Others were Patricia Igwebuike -Transport; Felix Odimegwu – Environment; and Paulinus Ifechukwu Onyeka – Housing.
