No fewer than 100 residents of Ihiala community in Anambra State have benefitted from free medical services by a non-governmental organization, Anyiego Foundation.
The free Medicare which took place at the Okeohia Primary School, Ihiala town, attracted residents of the area including youths, the aged and children alike.
The beneficiaries received treatments in different medical cases including malaria, diabetes, cough, ulcer, arthritis, hypertension among others.
They were also given free drugs, health talk, counselling and medical treatments for their respective ailments.
Speaking shortly after flagging off the program, the founder of Anyiego Foundation, Dr. Ifeanyi Harry Jeffrey, noted that the two-day event was targeted at helping members of the community access good medication for the betterment of their health.
The founder, who was represented by a member of the Foundation, Prince Ikemefuna Onah, said the exercise was well thought out, and urged the community members to maximize the opportunity.
Some of the beneficiaries including Mr. Slyvanus Mbakwute, Mrs Celestina Uhuerumba and Mr Solomon Nnabu, appreciated the Anyiego Foundation for the gesture.
