Member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Chief Sam Onuigbo, has joined the race for Abia Central senatorial seat.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain said during his declaration over the weekend in Umuahia, that his intention was to re-define representation in the district.
The two-term lawmaker said his performances at the green chamber were a foretaste of what he would do at the red chamber if given the opportunity.
He said that representation to him meant paying attention to the demands of the people and working hard to rewrite their experiences.
According to him, “purposeful and visionary leadership to the people compels me to offer myself for a more effective, accessible and responsive leadership to our people.
“We will replicate the principle of leadership as service imbued with the Effectiveness, Accessibility and Responsiveness (EAR) political philosophy.”
The House Committee Chairman on Climate Change who said he had garnered the needed experience to deliver if given the mandate, also promised to bring development to every community in the zone.
