Ondo State Government has announced the cancellation of this year’s June 12 Democracy Day celebration.
This is in honor of the victims of the St. Francis Catholic Church terror attack in Owo.
The state governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, made this known in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle Saturday morning.
He wrote that the cancellation of the June 12 celebration was to honour the victims of the attack and enable the people of the state mourn their loved ones who were victims of the attack.
“In honour of the victims of the terror attack at St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, the Ondo State Government has canceled this year’s June 12 celebration.
“The cancelation is to enable the people of Ondo State mourn their loved ones who lost their lives in the horrific attack.”
