The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, Wednesday, replied his All Progressives Congress, APC, counterpart, Bola Tinubu, over the latter’s comment that Labour Party faithful would labour till they die.
Tinubu, meanwhile, has been receiving bashing from Nigerians on the social media who consider his comments as very derogatory and unprovoked.
But while addressing a mega rally in Osogbo on Wednesday ahead of the Osun governorship poll slated for Saturday, Obi simply reminded Tinubu that “there is dignity in labour.”
Canvasing support for the Labour Party governorship candidate, Lasun Yusuf, Obi urged Labour Party members to reciprocate hatred with love.
According to him, “I listened to our chairman when he said that somebody said that ‘they can labour till death.’ When they show you hatred, Labour Party will show them love. There is dignity in labour.”
Obi urged the people to vote for Labour Party candidate at the forthcoming poll.
In his remarks, Lasun said Labour had come to rescue the state from mis-governance, urging the people to support the party.
He flayed Tinubu for making derogatory remarks on Labour Party, declaring that APC will soon become opposition party in the state as well as the country.
