No fewer than hundred thousand participants have gained empowerment through Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) interventions on Advanced Digital Appreciation Programme for Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria (ADAPTI) and digital literacy.

The disclosure was made by the President/CEO of Digital Bridge Institute, DBI, Prof. Mohammed Ajiya, at the closing ceremony of ADAPTI, following a successful training of some teaching and non-teaching staff of the Nile University Abuja on Friday  by the DBI resource persons.

In a statement signed by the Head of Public Affairs Unit, Digital Bridge Institute, Akin Ogunlade, the DBI boss noted that NCC’s interventions came through the empowerment of Nigerians on digital literacy.

He, however, appreciated the support of the NCC under the able leadership of Prof U.G Danbatta, the Executive Vice Chairman, and CEO.

He encouraged the trainees to apply the knowledge and skills acquired from the training in their work environment to become good ambassadors of DBI.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Vice Chancellor of Nile University of Nigeria, Prof Dilli Dogo, specifically thanked the NCC and DBI for the laudable ADAPTI programme brought to the University to equip teaching and non-teaching staff with digital skills needed in the University environment.

Impressed by the quality of teaching methodology, both the participants and Nile University management appreciated the DBI’s in-house-expert, Mr. Emeka Nzeih and Subject Matter Expert, Dr. Rauf lbrahim, respectively, for their delivery skills and professionalism during the 5-day intensive training.
