Professor of Political Economy and Management expert, Professor Patrick Okedinachi Utomi, will be the Keynote Speaker at the second edition of the Ikengaonline virtual town hall meeting scheduled for Thursday, August 25, 2022.
Professor Utomi is the founder of Centre for Value in Leadership and the African Democratic Congress.
According to the organisers, the Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria and a former presidential candidate, will be speaking on the theme: “Handshake Across the Niger: The imperatives of Southern Unity Now and Beyond.”
A release signed by Dr Chido Onumah on behalf of the Management of Ikenga Media & Cultural Awareness Initiative (IMCAI), publishers of Ikengaonline, the host of the town hall, puts the time at 7:00-8:45 pm West African Time (WAT).
According to the release, Ikengaonline hosts a virtual town hall every last Thursday of the month to discuss topical issues that impact the people of the South-East as well as certain parts of the South-South.
The inaugural town hall meeting which featured Senator Abaribe took place on Thursday, July 28, 2022.
In the inaugural meeting joined by eminent Igbo personalities from across the globe, Senator Abaribe spoke on “The South-East and the 2023 General Election: Participation in the Midst of Insecurity.”
Deputy President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Dr Kingsley Dozie; National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Comrade Chris Isiguzo; younger brother of the detained Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, were among the many participants at the exciting event.
“As a leading voice and major stakeholder in the Igbo project, it would be a great honour to have Professor Utomi as Guest Speaker and hear his ideas on how to move our region forward,” the statement read in part.
