As intrigues and political re-alignments over the 2023 polls continue across the country, the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has declared that he has no preferred candidate but national agenda to push.
The ex-President who stated this in Minna on Sunday when he visited former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, said he is concerned about pushing an agenda that would benefit Nigeria most.
According to him, “I don’t have a special candidate, I have a national agenda.”
On why he was in Minna, Obasanjo said he came to visit the former Head of State who had been indisposed.
Obasanjo said he had wanted to see him in London but missed him.
“I came to see my brother who has been a little indisposed. I had plans to visit him when he was still in London, but the day I arrived London was the day he returned home.
“So that is why I decided to come and see him at home. He is very special so I had to come.
He also said that “if there is anyone who is indisposed, I will visit and I am still strong.”
Obasanjo who later went into a closed door meeting with Abdulsalami arrived at 12:30 and left at 1:13pm.
