Uche Onyema, Owerri
An atmosphere of festivities yesterday pervaded every part of Imo State as the government and people prepare for the visit of the President, Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday.
The President is expected in the state to inaugurate three projects executed by governor, Hope Uzodimma, in the last few months.
The projects are the dualised Owerri/Orlu, the phase one of Owerri/Okigwe Road, and the refurbished ultra-modern Imo State House of Assembly Complex.
Already residents of the state are delighted to receive the president on his second visit.
Some residents who spoke to our Correspondent described the President’s second visit to the state as a sign that the governor has done well.
On the threat by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ordering a sit-at-home same day the President is visiting, the commissioner for information, Mr Declan Emelumba, assured that adequate security has been put in place.
