Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers who Friday night abducted the traditional ruler of Isiala Umudi Autonomous Community in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State, Eze Jewel Ndenkwo, are yet to contact his family according a source close to the family.
Ikengaonline gathered on Sunday that the incident happened at Tetlow Road in Owerri, where one of the monarch’s businesses, Udekings Nigeria Limited, was located.
According to an eyewitness, “the monarch was kidnapped around 8:30 pm, as he was about to enter his vehicle and go home after the day’s business.
“The kidnappers shot many times as he was pushed into a vehicle before they drove away through Wethedral Road in Owerri.”
However, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Michael Abattam, was yet to respond to the incident at the time of filing this report.
