The people of Mpu Community in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State have embarked on prayers to seek God’s intervention in the case of their Senator Ike Ekweremadu in the United Kingdom.
Ikengaonline gathered that the community at the weekend declared prayer and fasting asking God to take control of the situation.
A community source told our Correspondent that, “as a show of solidarity the community members shut their markets at the weekend to pray for divine intervention in his ongoing trial in the United kingdom over alleged organ harvest conspiracy.”
It would be recalled that, the former Deputy Senate President was arrested and detained alongside his wife by the metropolitan Police in May 2022 over alleged organ harvesting.
Meanwhile, his wife had since been granted bail while Ekweremadu is still remanded in the British Prison.
