Ikenga Media & Cultural Awareness Initiative, IMCAI, publishers of Ikengaonline Newspaper, is set to commence Gubernatorial Town Hall series for governorship candidates from the South-East geopolitical zone.
Meanwhile, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, governorship candidate for Enugu State, Chief Frank Nweke Jnr. will feature on the maiden edition of the online event scheduled for 7:00 pm West African Time, on Wednesday, November 16.
According to a release by the Editor-in-Chief of the South-East online media flagship, Uche Ugboajah, the virtual town hall meeting would be aired live on Urban Radio 94.5 FM, Enugu, Enyimba FM Aba, via Facebook, and other social media platforms of Ikengaonline.
He gave the zoom ID of the two-hour show as: 83351462039, while the password is: 517968.
According to the release, the interactive show will be co-moderated by international Journalist, Dr Chido Onumah; and US-based high profile columnist, Dr Osmund Agbo.
Other governorship flag bearers already scheduled on the series include: Chief Edward Nkwegu-LP, Ebonyi State, Thursday, December 8, (7pm-8:45pm WAT); and Prof. Bernard Odo, APGA candidate, Ebonyi State, Thursday, December 15, (7pm-8:45pm WAT).
According to the release, the Abia State APGA candidate, Prof. Greg Ibe, will feature on Thursday, December 22, (7p-8:45p WAT).
Giving insight on time allocation for the show, the release said five minutes would be used for introduction, 30 minutes presentation by candidates, 60 minutes audience participatory question and answer period, and 15 minutes closing formalities.
Ikengaonline is an online media platform intentionally focused on the South-East.
It is supported by MacArthur Foundation and the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ), and commenced operations in March 2022.
