The Member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe, says only competent leaders will relaunch Nigeria into economic prosperity.
Hon. Obidigwe who was speaking with newsmen in his Aguleri country-home, Anambra East Local Government Area, noted that only leaders who had the interest of the people at heart would deliver Nigeria from its current economic and political malady.
The Lawmaker decried the current insecurity in the Country, and urged the Federal Government to do everything humanly possible to save Nigerians from untold hardship and unwanted killings.
Hon. Obidigwe who is the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Environment, also appealed to the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to ensure that the pump price of the premium motor spirit is returned to its original price of N165 as against about N300 it sells in most parts of the country as it is affecting the citizenry negatively.
He enjoined eligible voters to use the forthcoming general election to vote for competent leaders that would address numerous challenges threatening the peace and unity of the country.
Hon. Obidigwe commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his numerous developmental strides especially on roads construction which he said had shown his capacity to deliver on the mandate given him.
The lawmaker called on Nigerian youths not to allow unscrupulous politicians to deceive them during the general election but cast their ballot for those with developmental initiatives for the betterment of the country and overall good of the people.
