Former Aviation Minister and a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Femi Fani-Kayode, has been summoned by the Department of State Services, DSS, for alleging a coup plot ahead of the 2023 general polls.
Fani-Kayode, an ally of the presidential candidate of the APC was invited by the Secret Police on Monday morning.
The former Minister who doubles as the Spokesperson of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, confirmed the invitation in a statement on Monday.
He wrote: “I will present myself before the DSS this morning as I have been asked to do,” Fani-Kayode said in a statement on Twitter.
The former Minister accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar of masterminding the summon by the DSS.
He described the invitation as politically motivated.
