The Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG, in charge of Logistics and Supply and Coordination South East Geopolitical Zone, DIG John Amadi, has warned police officers deployed for Saturday election to be neutral and comply with human rights in their security services.
The DIG, gave this charge on Wednesday at the Imo State Police Command in Owerri, while lecturing officers on election management and security.
Imo Police Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Henry Okoye, said: “The DIG in charge of Logistics and Supply and Coordinator South-East Geopolitical Zone, DIG John Amadi mni, today, 22/02/2023, visited Imo State Police Command Headquarters, lectured officers and men of the command on Election Security Management, as well as assessed the readiness of Imo Command to provide adequate security in the state in the forthcoming general election.
“The amiable and indefatigable DIG charges all officers of the Command to exhibit the highest sense of neutrality and professionalism by delivering quality, civil oriented, and human-right compliant Police security service on the day of elections and beyond; enjoins the command to synergise with other sister security agencies in the state to bequeath to Imolites a peaceful, secured, credible and acceptable general election.
