Nigerian separatist agitator, Simon Ekpa, has been reportedly arrested in Lahti for questioning by Finnish authorities.
A credible security source confirmed the arrest of the self acclaimed disciple of the IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu, to Ikengaonline on Thursday.
A Finland-based newspaper, Helsingin Sanomat, reported that Ekpa was arrested by police in his residence located at Lahti, Finland.
Ekpa, the Leader of the Auto Pilot Group has been issuing and alleged to be enforcing the sit-home order in the South-East, which has resulted in the killing of many innocent people in the region, including law enforcement agents.
He also recently declared that there will be no elections in the South-East zone of Nigeria.
However, the leadership of IPOB through its spokesperson, Emmanuel Powerful, had distanced the group from the sit-at-home order issued by Ekpa.
Ikengaonline reported that Ohanaeze Ndigbo had decried the unpatriotic activities of one Finland-based self-acclaimed freedom fighter, Simon Ekpa, who has been issuing sit-at-home order during the election period.
The apex Igbo body which described the order as injurious to the electoral fortunes of Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, urged voters in the zone to support Obi.
