The Enugu State Coordinator of Peter Obi Campaign Council (PCC) Mr Emeka Mammah, has urged voters in the state to vote en masse for Labour Party candidates in Saturday’s Gubernatorial/House of Assembly elections in the state.

Mammah said this in a statement made available in Enugu ahead of the elections.

According to him, this was to consolidate on the overwhelming victory of the party during the Presidential and National Assembly Elections on Feb. 25.

He said that a repeat of the party’s victory would mean that the state had chosen the way of liberation and freedom.

Mammah further said that another victory for candidates of LP would solidify Obi’s stand when he, expectedly, reclaims his stolen mandate in Court.

“In line with our Presidential Candidate’s World Press Conference last Wednesday where he said that Labour Party won the election but was denied, he charged ‘Obidients’ to vote for LP candidates across the country in the gubernatorial/state assembly elections. I urge all voters to come out en masse and vote for LP candidates,” he said.

The coordinator noted that the battle cry by Obi was very timely as the ruling party in the state was doing everything possible to confuse the electorate and win them over.

“I am, therefore, appealing to our supporters to come out on the election day to finish the race they have started by voting the Labour Party Governorship Candidate, Barrister Chijioke Edeoga, and his Deputy Governorship Candidate, Dr. John Okechukwu Nwokeabia, and all candidates for the house of assembly election.

“This has become necessary so Enugu State will start on a clean slate and deliver on the new mandate that will create unprecedented dividends of democracy that have been lacking for the past  23 years of rudderless leadership,” he said.
