Abia guber: LP wins Umuahia South LGA, PDP trailing behind

The Labour Party candidate, Dr Alex Otti, has won Saturday’s governorship election in Umuahia Local Government Area.
Local Government Collation Officer, Lucky Ezinna announced this Monday as collation resumed at the state office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Umuahia.
Otti polled 16,187 out of the total 25,525 valid vote cast.
Chief Okey Ahiwe of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party scored 5,464 to come second.

YPP – 323
The collation officer said that the polling units where infractions were recorded, and the polling units involved cancelled.
Otti is still maintaining a comfortable lead as the last batch of results is being announced.
LP has won additional two LGAs besides five it won yesterday, bringing the total number of LGAs already won by the party to seven.
