BREAKING! Otti of Labour Party wins Abia guber poll

Governorship candidate of the Labour Party, Dr Alex Otti, has been declared winner of the March 18 governorship election in Abia State.
After days of political logjam and anxiety, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Wednesday, declared candidate of the winner of the March 18 governorship poll in Abia State.
He polled a total of 175, 467 votes to defeat his closest rival, Chief Okey Ahiwe of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party who scored 88,529 votes.
The son of former Deputy Governor and candidate of the Young Peoples Party, YPP, Enyinnaya Nwafor, came third with 28,972 votes.
Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Technology Owerri, FUTO, Professor Nnenna Oti, subsequently declared Otti the Governor-elect having polled the total highest number of votes, and satisfied all necessary conditions.
There was eruption of joy through out the Collation Centre as soon as Otti was declared winner of the contest and the Abia Governor -elect.
