What a beautiful sight it was when the first inaugural flight landed at the President Muhammadu Buhari International Airport, Onueke, Ebonyi State.
The Air Peace Hoper 5N-BXF landed safely with Ebonyi people coming from Abuja at 3:55 pm, local time.
About 30imutes later the second Air Peace flight, this time from Lagos landed.
The two flights elicited outpouring of joy and jubilation from the mammoth crowd at the stadium.
Former Minister of Tourism, Frank Ogbuewu and wife were the first persons to land from the first aircraft followed by Comrade Chinedu Ogah, member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency.
The Governor of the State, David Umahi, the Governor-Elect, Francis Nwifuru, and other personalities were there to receive the first flight.
Governor David Umahi was full of appreciation for the support from the people of the state that made the completion of the airport a success.
He thanked the President, Muhammadu Buhari, and the relevant Federal Government agencies for the support which enabled the state government bring the airport to fruition.
