Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, a student of Anglican Girls Secondary School Nnewi (AGSS), has emerged the overall best student in the 2023 Joint Admission Matriculation Board examination (JAMB) with an aggregate score of 362.
According to the result released by JAMB recently, Miss Mmesoma scored 98 in English language, 89 in Physics, 94 in Biology, and 81 in Chemistry, respectively.
Ikengaonline reports that the excellent feat has brought joy and celebration to Mmesoma’s school and the state, as her teachers, parents and fellow students were thrown into an euphoric and exhilarating mood following this outstanding academic performance.
Following the outstanding result, Anambra State Commissioner for Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, has commended the brilliant performance of Mmesoma, describing it as ” very outstanding.”
She added that the performance coming from the state has again, demonstrated the investment and priority the administration of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo accords the education sector in the state.
“This outstanding performance of Ejikeme has indeed brought joy and happiness to every Ndi-Anambra. We are proud of her and we will monitor her academic progression as she pursues whatever career she desires”

JAMB recently released results of the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted between April 25 and May 1.
The organisation said 1, 595, 779 candidates registered for the examination in 708 Computer Based Test (CBT) centres across 105 towns nationwide.
