The people of Amechi Awkunanaw in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State have been thrown into mourning following the reported death of Mrs Jane Nnamani, wife of former President of the Senate, Senator Ken Nnamani
A family source told Ikengaonline that the late Nnamani passed on, at the weekend after a minor surgery at an undisclosed hospital in Enugu.
According to a family source, late Mrs Nnamani until her death was a cheerful woman loved by all around her, especially for her philanthropic activities.
Late Nnamani , who was in her early 60’s left behind four children including a medical doctor.
She was said to own several businesses in Enugu and until her death was a member of the Governing Council of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Enugu.
She was also a research fellow in the university on Business Administration.
Her death obviously has thrown the entire Amaechi Awknawnaw community into deep mourning.
The source said that arrangements for her burial, would begin as soon as her husband, Senator Ken Nnamani, returns from Washington, in the United States of America.
