Governor Alex Otti, of Abia State, has approved the suspension of the Principals of all state-owned Nursing/Midwifery training institutions in the state “pending investigations and directives.”
This is coming less than 24 hours the governor suspended the Head of Service and all Permanent Secretaries .
Otti who on Wednesday, set up a judicial panel of inquiry to probe looted Government funds and property, appears set for a holistic clean up in the state.
The Governor according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Kazie Uko, also suspended the Director of Nursing in the Ministry of Health, Nwosu Dorathy Njideka.
The suspensions, according to the statement, “takes immediate effect.”
There have been allegations of corruption and extortion in Abia schools of nursing.
