Reactions have continued to trail the report of the Anambra State panel that investigated the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results saga between the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and Miss Mmesoma Ejikeme.
Recall that the committee, in their findings and recommendations released on Friday, submitted that JAMB was right in its assertions that Mmesoma faked her UTME score.
It also submitted that Mmesoma had confessed to have truly manipulated her result by herself, and further recommended she should tender an unreserved written apology to JAMB, her school, and the Anambra State Government.
Following the new development, the father of Mmesoma, Mr Romanus Ejikeme, while speaking to newsmen in an apparent cold mood tendered unreserved apologies to Nigerians and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
He admitted that his daughter lied, regretting all his actions based on the deliberate misrepresentation of facts by her daughter.
He said, “My daughter didn’t open up to me on time. When I realised what she did, I regretted all my earlier actions on this matter. I apologise to Nigerians and JAMB. I still beg JAMB and Nigerians to pardon her.”
Similarly, Ikengaonlione had reported that Innoson Vehicles, Nnewi, Anambra State, had withdrawn the N3million scholarship earlier granted to Mmesoma following the UTME score manipulation.
