The Naira has further depreciated as it now exchanges for N820 per dollar.
Naira over the weekend, traded at N803.9 to a dollar in the Investors & Exporters (I&E) window which is the official forex market and N822/$ in the parallel market.
Statistics at the stock exchange show a 6.6 per cent decline in volume of dollars traded in the I&E window as dealers express disappointment that the expected increase in supply did not materialise.
The liberalisation of forex by President Bola Tinubu, has led to further depreciation of the naira which hitherto exchanged for N440 per dollar at the official market, and about N620 at the black market.
