The Governor Of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru has gifted MC Walter Chukwuemeka the Nigerian MC, who just completed a 130hrs marathon entertainment in an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record, a brand new Toyota Fortuner SUV.
The Governor handed over the car to Mr Walter at the Executive Council Chambers of the new Government House Abakaliki on Wednesday.
Mr Nwifuru described the feat achieved by Mr Walter as exceptional.
He said one of his administration’s agenda is to encourage and develop talents of the youth.
“You have been exceptional. We believe in the youths and that we can do it hence we created the ministry of empowerment and job creation. We have many talented youths and we plan to harness them.
“You showed that you have talent and you showcased it to the world and it gives us hope that we are on the right track,” the governor said.
Reacting, an elated MC Walter thanked the governor and the state government for the honour and recognition given to him.
He said it will spur him to more achievements that will bring glory to the state.
The Guinness World Record hopeful urged the youths to be honest and steadfast in whatever they are doing.
“Don’t ever feel that what you are doing is not important or useless. Keep working hard and never give up. One day you will be recognised even more than me today,” he advised.
