The Speaker Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chike Olemgbe, has reiterated the Assembly’s stand to put the interest of the state above every other consideration.
Hon. Olemgbe who gave this assurance during a meeting with members of Imo State House of Assembly Service Commission at the Assembly complex Owerri, said the state must come first before any other thing.
The Speaker disclosed that members of the 10th Assembly were concerned about the good of the state; and re-stated their commitment to assist Gov. Hope Uzodimma in his efforts towards making Imo a better place for all.
He, therefore, urged the members of the Commission to support the Assembly and also abide by the extant laws establishing the Commission in carrying out their functions.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Commission, Dr Lambert Orisakwe, earlier in his speech, pointed out that the lawmakers had demonstrated unwavering commitment to the people and the Government less than two months after inauguration.
Dr Olisakwe assured the Speaker and members of the legislature of the support of his Commission towards ensuring their success.
