Nigeria air force helicopter crashes in Niger

The Nigerian military Monday, recorded a disaster as a helicopter belonging to the Nigerian NAF, crashed.
The helicopter said to be on a casualty evacuation mission, crashed near Chukuba village in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
Authorities of NAF which identified the crashed helicopter as MI-171, said the incident took place around 1pm.
The cause of the crash was not yet ascertained but preliminary investigations had commenced, the Air Force Authorities added.
According to the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the aircraft departed Zungeru Primary School en route to Kaduna before the tragic incident occured.
