    After weeks of speculations, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has finally assigned portfolios to Minister designates confirmed last week by the Senate.

    The portfolios were announced Wednesday night by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

    According to the list obtained by Ikengaonline, the immediate-past Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, was assigned the Minister of Works.

    Checks by Ikengaonline revealed it would be the first time somebody from the South East geo-political zone would be heading the Works Ministry.

    Similarly, the immediate-past Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, was appointed Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

    Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha was appointed Minister of State for Labour and Productivity; Mr. Wale Edun is the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy.

    Others include: Bunmi Tunji – Minister of Marine and Blue Economy.

    Bosun Tuani was appointed Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy; while Ishak Salako is Minister of State, Environment and Ecological Management.

    Below is the full list of the 58 Ministers with portfolios according to ge-opolitical zones:

    1. Minister of Communications, Innovations and Digital Economy —- Bosun Tijani

    2. Minister of State, Environment and Ecological Management – Ishak Salako.

    3. Minister of Finance and Coordinating.

    4. Minister of the Economy – Wale Edun

    5. Minister of Marine and Blue Economy – Bunmi Tunji-Ojo

    7. Minister of State, Health and Social Welfare – Tunji Alausa
