Umahi tipped for minister of works

There are strong indications that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, may have tipped the immediate-past Governor of Ebonyi State, and Senator representing Ebonyi South district, David Umahi, for Minister of Works.
A source which pleaded for anonymity said this would be made public in a matter of hours.
It will be the first time anybody from the South East geo-political zone would be appointed Minister of Works since the return of Nigeria to democracy in 1999.
Ikengaonline had reported that the Senate had cleared 45 out of the 48 ministerial nominees sent to it by the President.
Immediate past Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, who was among the list is, however, yet to be confirmed following alleged security reports against him.
