Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Imo State Command, on a motorised Patrol along Aba-Owerri Expressway, intercepted five pregnant victims of Child trafficking.
The five rescued girls who were allegedly being used as baby factory were intercepted in a mini-bus while relocating to Ikenegbu Area of Owerri from a hideout in Naze Area of the state.
The victims whose names are being withheld because they are minors, are all within the ages of 15 and 17 years old.
Preliminary investigation revealed that all five victims do not know the men that impregnated them.
NDLEA , said the victims would be handed over to the relevant authorities “to bring all perpetrators of this heinous crime to book.”
