Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has expressed shock over the gruesome murder of security agents who were on patrol at Umuezeala Onwere in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area.
The security agents were said to have been ambushed, killed and set ablaze along side their patrol vehicles.
Governor Uzodimma who visited the scene of the attack with the State Commissioner of Police CP Mohammed Barde, described the incidence as terrible and prayed to God to console the deceased family.
Senator Uzodimma promised that the Government would look into the matter and appealed to the people to give useful information to security agents that would lead to the arrest of the criminals.
“Soldiers and other security officers have been able to manage their temper. This kind of thing is very provocative.
“I am very sad and feel very hurt. It is a terrible situation where officers will come to protect and work for us, and people will come from no where and ambush them and take their lives,” Uzodimma lamented.
