Anambra-born Ugochi Nwizu has graduated as a Dentist from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and was declared the best graduating student of her class.
Ikengaonline learned that Ugochi, an indigene of Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Anambra State, bagged her bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery (BDS ) from the College of Medicine, University of Nigeria (UNN) with 8 distinctions in some of her major courses.
She was awarded the best-graduating student in her faculty.
“Now Dr. Nwizu Ugochi.E. (BDS, Nig) Graduating Medical school with a total of 8 Distinctions, as the best Graduating Student God did! He has been so faithful, she posted via her X (Twitter) account.
Out of the 16 courses that Ugochi participated in, she had distinctions in 8 of her major courses which include; Oral Biology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Child Dental Health.
This outstanding accomplishment places Miss Ugochi Nwizu in the spotlight, reflecting her dedication, hard work, and academic excellence throughout her educational journey at UNN. Her achievement is a testament to her commitment to medical education and serves as an inspiration to aspiring medical professionals.
Following this feat, Ugochi has become the latest in the long list of young Anambrarians who have made the state proud with outstanding academic results.
It would be recalled that two students, Okoro Benjamin Nzutechukwu and Okeke Solomon Ekene, also from the state, a couple of months ago, graduated with first class honours in their schools in far away Russia.
Also, in June 2023, a female graduate of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State made her alma mater as well as her home town, Oko, proud in far away China. She outshined all others, coming top in a Chinese degree. She also became the best graduating with Bsc. Chinese Language & Literature.
