Anambra State Government has suspended the Principal of Community Secondary School, Awkuzu, Mrs. Florence Edokwe, for her involvement in the collection illegal fees in her school.
A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of Post Primary Schools Service Commission, PPSSC Awka, Mrs. Ann Okafor, said the action was against the free education policy of Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo.
According to the release, the Chairman of the Commission, Professor Nkechi Ikediugwu, asked Mrs. Edokwe to hand over her duties and the entire property of the school to the vice-principal administration of the school with immediate effect pending the conclusion of investigation into her issue.
Ikengaonline reports that following the latest suspension, Mrs Edokwe makes it the sixth Secondary School Principal suspended for flouting Governor Soludo’s free education policy.
