Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensure that the common man in the society accesses affordable justice without fear of molestation.
Governor Uzodimma disclosed this at the inauguration of High court, magistrate court and customary court complexes at Omuma in Oru East Local Government Area of the state.
Governor Uzodimma said the essence of the court complexes was to ensure quick dispensation of justice and called on members of the community to endeavor to secure the property from vandals.
“I therefore call on the people of Omuma Local Government Area to join hands in securing this facility, so that vandalisation which has become common to government and public properties will not get to this complex.”
He pledged that his administration will do their best to make.life easier and more comfortable for the people.
In her remarks the Chief Judge of Imo State Justice Theresa Chikeka, expressed profound gratitude to the governor, noting that the complexes would help the judiciary attend to their cases in the same premises, thereby saving them time and energy.
“With this, a lawyer can be at the high court and also attend his matter at the magistrate court, and also at the customary court. Because they are in one complex. Your excellency, we are indeed grateful.”
In a welcome address the Sole Administrator of Oru East Local Government Area Nze Celestine Nnamdi, commended the governor for impacting on the urban areas of the state through his numerous development projects.
