The Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Umuahia, Friday struck out two of the motions in the application by High Chief Ikechi Emenike of the All Progressives Congress, APC, against the election of Gov. Alex Otti of the Labour Party.
According to tribunal the relief sought by Emenike to set aside Otti’s victory based on the ruling of the Kano high Court that the Labour Party did not conduct primaries, amounted to an attempt to amend his original application.
The tribunal therefore, struck out the motion for lacking in merit.
