Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC), has awarded a whopping N1,204,200,118 (One billion, two hundred and Four million, two hundred thousand, one hundred and eighteen naira) for the reactivation of 67 water schemes scattered in the 21 local government areas of the state.
A Release signed by the Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu, said the contracts were approved by ANSEC after its meeting on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.
The Commissioner also stated that Seventy-one million, three hundred and fifty-six thousand, eight hundred and Two Naira, Seventy-Nine Kobo (N71,356,802.79) was approved for the first phase renovation of ministry of justice zonal offices across the State.
According to the commissioner, the rehabilitation of the ministry of justice offices will ensure speedy dispensation of justice in the state.
He also said the intervention is intended to avail the zonal offices, outstations and their staff a befitting and conducive working environment “that shall correct years of hapless neglect by past governments.”
The Commissioner stated that the contract was awarded to Noble Gate Enterprises. He also said the work is expected to be completed within a period of 4 months from the date of payment of mobilisation fee.
