Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has tasked Senator Hope Uzodimma to show magnanimity by extending a hand of fellowship to his co-contestants following his reelection as Imo State Governor.
Senator Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was announced as the winner of the just concluded Imo State governorship election by Prof. Abayomi Fasina, the Returning Officer in the State.
With a total vote of 540,308, Uzodimma defeated his his closest rival, Samuel Anyanwu, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who came second with total votes of 71,503.
Following the victory, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo in a statement by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, congratulated the governor and urged him to be fair to his co-contestants.
Soludo further urged Senator Uzodimma to see his emergence as the winner in the election as a victory for all Imo people
He expressed confidence that Uzodimma will continue to serve the people of Imo State dutifully and wished him well for another tenure in office.
