Senator Okechukwu Ezea, representing Enugu North Senatorial district of Enugu State has given cash donation of N100,000 each to two students of St Theresa’s College Nsukka, in Nsukka Local Government Area.
Senator Ezea, who was represented by Prof. Tony Onyishi, said the gesture was to encourage the two students – Ogar Emmanuel Chinedu from Okpoma Village, Cross River State and Okwor Emmanuel Chigozie, from Umuidu Village, Ede-Oballa, Nsukka Local Government Area.
The two students of STC emerged first positions in the recently concluded National Quiz competition on Legislature and Democracy for Senior Secondary Schools held in Abuja.
In the letters of recognition to the two students by Senator Ezea, which were presented to the two students, he encouraged them to continue to work hard to attain greater heights in their individual academic pursuits.
He also promised to be available to assist the students in the best ways possible to ensure that they reach their academic zenith.
The senator said that the cash reward was to encourage them “for the exemplary feat.”
In another congratulatory letter to St. Theresa’s College, Nsukka, distinguished senator Okey Ezea also expressed his joy that the glory days of STC was being re-enacted under the watch of Rev. Fr. Paul Ali, the school’s principal.
