Police to fish out killers of man in Imo community

Imo State Police Command says Investigation is ongoing to fish out the hoodlums responsible for the killing of one Mr Jeremiah Ogbuji at Umudagu market junction Irete in Owerri West Local Government Area.
The Public Relations Officer of the Command, Mr Henry Okoye, said that the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Ogbaku got a distress call about a man who was shot dead at the said junction.
He said:”On getting there, the police met a man lying on the ground in his pool of blood, with severe bullet injuries on his chest.”
The operatives immediately rushed him to Federal Medical Center, Owerri where he was confirmed dead and thereafter, deposited at the morgue for preservation.
According to the PPRO, “ investigation is ongoing to find out the hoodlums responsible for the dastardly act and make them face the full wrath of the law.”
” Adequate security measures have also been emplaced to forestall future occurrence”, he added.
