Dignitaries from across South East have started thronging Osisioma Aba in Abia State for the formal inauguration of the 188 megawatts Geometric Power Plant.
The $800 million dollars project is own by former Minister for Power Professor Bart Nnaji.
Professor Nnaji is from Enugu State.
Some of the dignitaries so far sighted by Ikengaonline include the Obi of Onitsha, HRM Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe; the Chairman Abia Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM Eze Linus Nto; and the wife of the late Biafra warlord, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu.
Sighted also were the Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Ambassador Okey Emuchay; Chief Executive Officer, Innoson Motors, Chief Innocent Chukwuma; and the son of former Head of State, Sheyi Obasanjo.
Captains of industry and political weights from across the South East were at the event in their numbers.
The Vice President, Kashim Shettima, was still being awaited for the cutting of the ribbon as at the time of filing this report.
