The Commissioner of Police in Imo State CP Aboki Danjuma has advised the residents of Abacheke to embrace Community Policing concepts and support the Police in the fight against all forms of crimes and criminality.
CP Aboki Danjuma stated this at a security meeting with the stakeholders of Abacheke community in Ohaji/Egbema LGA at the palace of the traditional ruler of the Community, HRH Eze Ikeji Bright, Eze Osichi Orumara, over the recent gruesome murder of some residents of Abacheke community by gunmen.
CP Danjuma maintained that reporting any suspicious person seen or clandestine activities observed within their vicinity to the nearest police station would help in curbing crime in the area.
The police commissioner, who noted that the meeting was part of his unflinching dedication to combatting crime, reaffirmed that the Command under his watch is relentless in its commitment to ensuring that the entire state is adequately secured and protected.
CP Danjuma therefore, urged members of the Abacheke community to go about their lawful business without any form of fear or intimidation and not panic at the massive deployment of security operatives.
Speaking at the meeting, the traditional Ruler of Abacheke community, HRH Eze Ikeji Bright, appreciated the Commissioner of Police for his relentless efforts in improving the security situation of the State.
Eze Ikeja assured the CP of continuous collaboration by providing actionable intelligence that will assist in flushing out criminally minded elements from his Community.
The immediate Past Minister of State for Education Rt. Hon. Goodluck Nnanah Opiah, who was also at the meeting, stated that Abacheke is a peace-loving community and is ever ready to support the Police and other security agencies in sustaining the peace and security that is cherished in the community.
