Anambra State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, has praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his policies that is reshaping the governance system of the state.
The commissioner said Soludo’s policies is turning around the state’s budget system and economic fortunes, paving the way for a prosperous and livable Anambra State.
Addressing newsmen in Awka, the State Capital, Nnake also scored the governor high on infrastructural and human capital development within his two years in office.
She listed a number of achievements under Gov. Soludo’s economic blueprint since assumption of office to include security, infrastructural development, social investment and environmental sustainability while digitising and automating the budget system and implementing a social protection policy.
She disclosed that the governor has completed 240 kilometers of roads out of 400 roads awarded, and hinted that he would focus on road dualisation, new industrial cities, and a transportation system as his developmental road-map.
Commending Governor Soludo’s administration for creating over 4,000 jobs through “one youth two skills” programme in the state, the commissioner said agricultural seedlings were shared to households to alleviate poverty.
On health care, Mrs Chiamaka Nnake stated that the Governor has expanded access to healthcare by recruiting more professionals, building hospitals of global standard, and providing free quality antenatal and delivery service to women.
Nnake who emphasised that the government was doing more with less, judging from the current economic situation of the country to ensure citizens enjoy the dividend of democracy they deserved, assured that the financial prudence of Governor Soludo ensures the meagre funds are used for essential services and long-term sustainability in line with the Vision 2070 plan.
She commended the governor for his inclusive approach to governance and enjoined the people to explore the importance of citizens’ engagement through open government partnership.
