The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Church, Pastor Williams Kumuyi, has commended Governor Alex Otti over his achievements in office, describing them as “overwhelming.”
Pastor Kumuyi made the commendation during a courtesy call on the Governor on the sidelines of his on-going five-day Gospel Gospel crusade outreach in Aba.
The cleric lauded Otti for his strides in the infrastructure, security and other critical sectors.
Pastor Kumuyi who was on the visit with his wife, Esther, urged the Governor not to relent in his bid to reposition the state.
He noted that the exemplary leadership of Gov. Otti had elevated Abia State to an enviable height among the committee of states, adding that Abia is on the path of economic growth.
“It is not up to one year that you came in as Governor and your achievements are overwhelming. Even before I came, we have been hearing the news of the progress and reformation taking place in Abia State. Apart from coming to preach we have heard the story of the state from 2023 up till now.
“May the Lord continue to strengthen you and help you to achieve all that you have for the state which are manifest in security, progress and productivity of the state.
“We pray that the Lord will keep you strong and healthy. We pray that this work will continue to go on and others will see the bright light shining in our state here, God’s own state and this state will be a shining star in our country,” Pastor Kumuyi stated.
In his response, Gov. Otti declared his administration’s commitment to partnering with the Deeper Christian Life Ministry and other Churches to support the less privileged and enhance the well-being of the populace.
Otti restated his administration’s commitment to improving the lives of Abia citizens, declaring that he came on board to make a difference.
Gov Otti highlighted the achievements recorded in the last eleven months to include the liquidation of a backlog of pensions arrears owed pensioners in the state by previous administrations.
Acknowledging the impactful exploits God has been using Pastor Kumuyi to do globally, Governor Otti pledged support for the Deeper Christian Life Ministry and other Churches to enhance the propagation of the gospel of Christ.
He commended the leadership of the church for the choice of Abia as venue for the Global Crusade and urged Pastor Kumuyi to continue with his evangelistic outreaches, which he said had positively affected lives on a global scale.
