Police in Onitsha, Anambra State, have rescued one of the three stolen Abia school kids of same parents.
The rescued victim, Divine Osinachi, was kidnapped along with his siblings the week before while returning from school.
Their mother, Mrs Gloria Osinachi, who confirmed the rescue to our Correspondent, said he was rescued on Tuesday.
Although she did not give details of how the son was rescued, she said that one man had been arrested and brought back to Abia in connection with the abduction.
While thanking God for the rescue, Mrs Gloria appealed to security agencies to intensify search and rescue operation for the remaining two children still in captivity.
Ikengaonline had reported that the three siblings were last week stolen at Amaoba Ime Oboro Community in Ikwuano Local Government Area on their way from school.
Reports say the children had a stop over in their grandmother’s house who later engaged a motorcyclist to convey them home.
The evil cyclist later disappeared with the kids to an unknown location.
Those still in captivity are eight-year-old Gideon Osinachi, and four-year-old Israel Osinachi.
Recall that Governor Alex Otti, had on Monday, ordered security agencies in the state, to ensure immediate rescue and safe return of the children.
