Traders at Old Motor Car Parts Union Ugwuagba, Obosi, popularly known as Mgbuka Obosi, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, were thrown into jubilation when Soludo Support Group (SSG) was inaugurated in their Market.
The inauguration ceremony was a grand event, attended by hundreds of supporters who came out in full force to show their support for Soludo. The traders in the state paused their activities to witness the historic event and to pledge their allegiance to the candidate.
Inaugurating the Market chapter of Soludo Support Group (SSG), the National convener, Hon. Chinedu Nwoye, noted that he was impressed by the overwhelming support by the traders in the philosophy of SSG, eulogising the Chairman of the Market and his executives for their ability to coordinate traders.
He described population of traders at Mgbuka Obosi as amazing, commending numerous youths who are undergoing apprenticeship in the Market and assured them that Professor Charles Soludo has good plan for youths in Anambra State and had already employed good youths.
Hon. Nwoye who doubles as the Deputy Chief of staff and Chief of protocol to Professor Charles Soludo also lauded Market executives who he said willingly demanded Soludo Support Group (SSG) to be inaugurated in their Market, even as he said that Professor Soludo has within two years transformed Anambra and if third tenure werev to be allowed, Soludo would complete it successfully.
Glamour, as he is fondly called, equally described youths at Mgbuka Obosi as potential Engineers, recalling that Soludo had started constructing Mgbuka Obosi road but due to the attitude of the contractor, the road was not completed, urging them to remain loyal to the Governor who he said would complete the road.
He however hinted that SSG mission in the Market was also to put the records straight against fake news peddling by enemies of Anambra State undermining developmental strides of Professor Soludo. He recounted scholarship, employment of over 5,000 teachers and youths, constructing roads with street lights, drilling bore holes and Hospitals amongst others, as part of Professor Soludo’s achievements.
He prayed for the Mgbuka Obosi SSG chapter, urging them not to segregate from others in other to work as a team and achieve excellent results.
Fielding questions from newsmen, the caretaker Chairman of the Market, Chief Samuel Efulunwa, stated that Professor Soludo has done marvelously well within two years, justifying it with the mammoth crowd of traders who were jubilating during the event.
“I and my executives are also glad to receive SSG team because when you see someone who is doing good, such a person needs to be appreciated. Therefore, what I always tell people is, tell me a place in Anambra and I will tell you what Soludo has done for the area. So, if third tenure is allowed, Soludo will still win and complete it because of his achievements”
“What we observed is what we are saying. In history of governance in the Anambra State, no person has ever remembered Okpoko not to talk of attracting projects but Soludo has transformed Okpoko with good roads, street lights, General Hospital, boreholes amongst other.”
Chief Efulunwa affirmed that they willingly demanded the SSG team to come and inaugurate SSG in Mgbuka Obosi Market the way they have inaugurated in other Markets so that they would join them in the propagating of Soludo’s excellent works, recounting some of Soludo’s achievements as; Free education to school pupils, eradication of illegal revenue/Agbero, employment of over 5,000 teachers and youths, construction of roads in all 21 local government areas of the state and adequate security.
Igwe of Orumba who was flanked by the Secretary of the Market, Mr. Ogochukwu Oguagbaka, Board of Trustee (BOT) Secretary, Hon. Gideon Aguezenwuba and PRO of the Market, Mr. Chinedu Ugwoegbu, further disclosed that he had another plan to deliver Soludo apart from SSG projects, pointing out that he had already instituted zones 1 to 20 in the Market and each line has 5 female canvassers who have started working for the victory of Soludo in 2025.
“The magic behind my leadership is that I tell traders the truth and they will obey me because, I always tell them the truth and offer them good services. I don’t work like a caretaker Chairman. What I have achieved in the Market is more than what an elected Chairman would achieve,” Efulunwa concluded.
