Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has inaugurated the Muslim Pilgrims Board to mark the 2024 Eid-el-Fitr celebration in the state.
This took place when Muslim community in the state paid a Sallah homage to the governor at the Governor’s Lodge on Tuesday.
Ikengaonline had reported that Soludo who welcomed the delegation used the opportunity to call on Nigerians to live in harmony and continue to support the government at various levels.
The Governor advised that Nigerians should not lose the significance of the lessons of the special occasion. These lessons include, sacrifices, living in unity and having faith in Almighty Allah.
Soludo also harped on the issue of unity in diversity, saying that our diversity remains our greatest strength.
He said, “Unity in diversity is our strength. We must maximize our unity as our strength to build a stronger and better society.”
Speaking on behalf of the Muslim delegation, the vice president General and chairman, Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Anambra State, Alhaji Sani Onyeabo Ejoh said the visit was to pay the usual traditional Sallah homage to the governor as the father and leader of the state.
