The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State have extended dates for the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms for councilors and chairmanship aspirants.
The State Publicity Secretary for APC, Mr. Cajethan Duke, announced in a statement that the sale of forms which was meant to stop today (Monday July 22) has been extended to Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
The PDP also through its State Organising Secretary, Mr. Gozie Nwachukwu, noted that the party’s sale of forms has been extended to Friday July 26.
The PDP had initially announced that the sale of forms would close on July 17, but the State Caretaker Committee approved the extension.
Meanwhile, the local government election in the State is scheduled to hold on September 21, 2024.
