Otti has made Abia very attractive for investors – UK-based industrialist

    EditorBy EditorAugust 12, 2024Updated:August 12, 2024No Comments2 Mins Read

    Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia

Abia-born United Kingdom based industrialist, Chief Charles Lawrence Nwangwa, has hailed the leadership acumen of Gov. Alex Otti, affirming that the Governor has made Abia a centre of attraction for diaspora investors.

Chief Nwangwa who spoke during the New Yam festival of the Igbo community in the UK, said that under Otti, “Abia State offers a robust plan for those in diaspora to invest.”

“The state offers a robust plan for diaspora investments. Those with promising proposals are welcomed to engage directly with state officials, including the governor himself.

“Governor Otti is committed to attracting investment, making Abia an ideal destination,” he declared.

Chief Nwangwa, who said that the achievements of Gov. Otti “is coming from extensive experience the Governor has garnered,” highlighted the progress Abia State had made under the Governor’s leadership, and encouraged investment in the state.

He noted that that in spite of some security challenges in the state, the Governor had shown capacity in many frontiers, stressing that Abia is currently the safest state in the South-East region.

“Despite minor security issues in some areas, the governor’s effective handling has maintained peace and directed the state towards development.”

The industrialist used the event to express his admiration for the Igbo Union in the UK and appreciated the group’s efforts in fostering a strong community abroad.

Contributing, one of the attendees of the event , Chief Kenneth Ofoegbu, who is also known as “Aba boy,” said he is proud of Governor Otti’s achievements.

He maintained that Nigerians in the UK see Governor Alex Otti as symbol of good governance in Nigeria.

“Governor Otti speaks little but accomplishes great things,” he said.
