Police invite NLC chair, Ajaero for terrorism financing, treasonable felony
. Threaten arrest if invitation not honoured

The Nigeria Police, Monday, invited the National President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Comrade Jude Ajero, for questioning over “criminal conspiracy, terrorism financing, treasonable felony, subversion and cybercrime.”
This was contained in an invitation letter given to the Labour boss on Monday.
The letter was issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, in charge of Intelligence Response Team, IRT.
According to the letter, Ajaero should be at the IRT office on Tuesday, August 20, without fail or risk arrest.
The letter of invitation signed by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Adamu Mu’azu on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner, read in part: “This office is investigating a case of Criminal Conspiracy, Terrorism Financing, Treasonable Felony, Subversion and Cybercrime in which you were mentioned.
“You are therefore invited to interview the undersigned on Tuesday 20th August, 2024 by 10:00 a.m. prompt, at IRT Complex, Old Abattoir by Guzape Junction, Abuja, through the Team Leader with telephone No 08035179870 in connection with the above investigation.
“Be informed that in the event of failing to honour this letter, this office will have no alternative than to activate a warrant of arrest against you please.”
This is coming less than two weeks after the National Secretariat of NLC was raided by security agents.
NLC said it had engaged forensic security experts to scan its secretariat for possible incriminating items planted by security agents during the invasion which has attracted global condemnation.
